Albert Dock is the name given to the docks that have been in existence in Liverpool since 1846. The docks comprised of warehouses and dock buildings and, of course, places for boats to dock while loading and unloading their cargoes.
Today Albert Dock is a centre of activity and there are many different tourist attractions there that people can enjoy. These range from the Beatles experience to the Liverpool Eye which stands on one side of the dock and gives visitors a fantastic view of Liverpool from above.
In addition to these attractions there is also the Maritime Museum, Slave Museum, the Tate Liverpool and much more. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants around the docks where people can spend a little time in between visiting various attractions. Each year the docks draw in thousands of visitors and it is easy to see why as there is simply so much to see and do here.
