About Amersham:

Amersham is a civil parish and mountain district that is located in Bucks. As it is only 27 miles away from the centre of London it is constantly on the London commuter belt and many people who live in Amersham will make the daily commute to their jobs in London.

Amersham is divided into two separate areas – there is the Old Amersham area which has old coaching inns and pubs and St Mary’s church which dates back to the 13th century and Amersham on the hill which is centred around the railway station and have continued to grow since the start of the 20th century.

There's not been a settlement in this area since before pre-Anglo-Saxon times and there is an entry for Amersham as Elmodesham from the 1086 Domesday book. As well as being a great place to commute from Amersham is also a pleasant place to live and there are plenty of recreational activities to enjoy in and around the area.
