Bexleyheath is a suburban district that is located in London were of Bexley in south-east London. It lays around 12 miles away from Charing Cross and it is in the London plan as being one of greater London 35 major centres.
The area was not really develop until early in the 19th century and before then it was mainly scrub land that had a few buildings scattered along it. The church in Bexleyheath – Christ church is relatively new and it only dates back to 1841.
In the 1980s a shopping centre was built called the Broadway Centre, this was then changed to The Mall Bexleyheath. This is still in existence although there have been some redevelopment to modernise the outside area somewhat. There are plenty different leisure facilities in Bexleyheath and many of the local people will spend their time enjoying what the area has to offer them on a regular basis.
