Brighton railway station is the main railway station for Brighton and Hove and it is situated along the south coast. The station was built in 1840 by the London and Brighton railway and it was intended to connect Shoreham-by-sea to Brighton. The station has a total of eight platforms and it is managed by Southern Railways.
As Brighton is such a busy place the tourists you will not be surprised to learn that the station sees over 14 million travellers passed through its doors each year.
