Cheam is a large village which is in the London Borough of Sutton and close to the boundary that lies between Syria and Greater London.
There are two main areas in Cheam - Cheam Village and North Cheam. Cheam Village is a residential area that is quite quiet and pleasant to live in. North Cheam have a higher concentration of supermarkets and in retail shops and is the place that people will travel to in order to do their shopping.
Cheam is serviced by Cheam railway station and it is in Travelcard Zone 5. The earliest recorded settlement dates back to 1018 when the area was owned by Chertsey Abbey. During the Middle Ages pottery was the industry that Cheam was well known for and many artefacts from this period have been unearthed by archaeologists. There are several buildings such as the Old Rectory, the Old Farmhouse and Nonsuch Mansion which are all places of interest in the area.
Just rented out my parking space; thanks for the great service!
