Didsbury is an area that is located in Manchester along the northern banks of the River Mersey. It is around 4 1/2 miles away from Manchester city centre and it has a population of 14,000 people. There are records to suggest that Didsbury had been a settlement in the 13th century and it remained a rural area until the 19th century.
During this time and thanks to the Industrial Revolution Didsbury started to grow and expand until it was classed as being inside Manchester.
Didsbury is known for being the place where the Royal Society for the protection of birds was formed in 1889. Today Didsbury has a shopping centre - the Didsbury Village which has a large number of bars, delicatessen and cafes. Another place of interest is the Fletcher Moss botanical Garden which draws many visitors who want to enjoy its green and open spaces each year.
This space is now rented. Thank you.
