At the time it was opened the station was originally called Ealing and it was known as this for more than 100 years. Today the station is managed by First Great Western and on an annual basis the station received just over 3 million people pass through its doors.
There are nine platforms on the station – platforms one and two are purely for non-stop trains and all of the platforms are accessible via ticket barriers only.
