Farnham Information

Farnham is a town that is situated in Surrey and is around 42 miles away from London. There is archaeological evidence to suggest that people have settled in this area for tens of thousands of years.

During the Roman occupation of Britain Farnham was thought to be a Roman settlement as it was close to a Roman road that ran from Silchester to Chichester.

Eventually Farnham was seen as a very successful market town and its population began to grow. This was boosted when the first railway line made an appearance in 1848 which helped the growing population to get around.
