Harold Wood is located in the borough of Havering and it is approximately 16.5 miles away from Charing Cross.
The area got its name from the fact that King Harold Harefoot liked to hunt deer in the forests that were prevalent in the area in around the 11th century. From 1926 the area went under considerable redevelopment and became urbanised. From 1965 onwards Harold Wood became part of the London Borough of Havering.
Today there are plans for redevelopment of the area which has so far seen Harold Wood Hospital close down in 2006 to make way for various housing projects.
"Rented space out twice already, great system!!"
