Redland is a suburb in Bristol that is known for being one of the more affluent areas. It is located between Westbury Park, Bishopston, Cotham and Clifton.
In addition to having some of the most impressive properties in the area Redland is also known for being one of the more popular parts of the city for second and third year students to live.
Experts believe that there are records that they Redland back to the 11th century when it was allegedly called Rudeland. There are many different listed buildings that are located in Redland and there are some particularly interesting examples of Georgian and Victorian architecture. Redland has its own railway station – Redland Railway Station and this is located at the southern part of the area. Throughout the year there are community events held here such as the fete in May and the Redland Fair held on the May Bank Holiday.
