Stevenage is a town with a population of around 82,000 and it is located in Hertfordshire. Stevenage in between Welwyn Garden City and Letchworth Garden City and is around 20 miles away from the centre of London which makes it a popular commuter town. Stevenage was first mentioned in the 1086 Domesday book however there is also archaeological evidence that shows that Romans once occupied the area. Stevenage is also known for being close to Knebworth house which is a deadly home in the Gothic style which is also very well known for hosting rock concerts and has done since 1974.
The centre of Stevenage is mainly pedestrianised and it has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants that serve the local community well.
The area is also known for being the place where the majority of program Saxondale was filmed which stars comedians Steve Coogan and Ruth Jones.
