West Brompton Station is both and overground and underground station that is located in west London on old Brompton Road. It is close to the Earls Court exhibition Centre and it is on the District Line. The station was first opened in the first half of the 1860s and in World War II the station sustained considerable damage due to a bombing.
After the Second World War many of the station buildings were demolished and they were left like this for some time until they were eventually rebuilt and the station was reopened in 1999.
There are four platforms that are in use in West Brompton Station and be helped to handle the 3.7 million people that use the station each year. There are 10 overground trains per hour that pass through the station and regular Tube trains are also available. There are bus links outside the station including a couple of night buses for the local area.
