About White City Station:

White City Station is a tube station that is on the London Underground and it is in White City in Wood Lane. The station is situated between East Acton station and Shepherd's Bush station on the Central Line. It is in Travelcard Zone 2 and it was opened in 1947 to replace the previous station. World War Two delayed the building of this station by around seven years as it was due to be completed in 1940.

The station is opposite the BBC Television Centre and it is very close to Loftus Road, which is where the football team Queens Park Rangers play their home matches. As a result the station will get very busy on match days as people will use it to get to the matches.

The station has around 8 million passengers each year who will use the two platforms that are in constant use within the building.
