Wickford is a town that is located in Essex around 30 miles away from the centre of London. It has a population of around 33,000 people and is known for being a popular commuter town thanks to the railway connection to Liverpool Street station.
On average trains take 40 minutes to go from Wickford to London. The town itself is quite small although it does have many of the high street stores that are in existence in the majority of towns around the UK. In addition to this there is also an open-air market, community centre and a swimming pool that are all in the centre of the town.
Wickford has been in existence since before 975 and a story and have found prehistoric relics and there in addition to Roman and Saxon archaeological remains. The county golfer known for being the birthplace of naturism and it was hit by bombing in the Second World War.
