Corpus Christi College was founded in 1352, making it the sixth oldest college of Cambridge University. It is also the only college to have been established by the townspeople of the city. Much of its Old Court is made up of the original 14th century buildings. It is also famous for the Chronophage – a clock featuring a large grasshopper and a 1.5m wide clock face, using blue LEDs instead of hands to display the time.
