The Grade-II listed Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham was first opened in 1891, and was designed by Frank Matcham. It is the oldest surviving working example of Matcham’s auditoriums. Though it briefly served as a cinema, today the Everyman showcases dance, musicals, drama, and comedy festivals. It is perhaps best known locally for its pantomime, which usually attracts a huge audience.
