Glasgow is a port city, residing by the River Clyde in West Scotland, and home to the favoured Christmas markets. Spread out over St Enoch and George Square, get in the Christmas spirit with over 50 chalets from all over the globe, selling homemade crafts, sweet treats, festive gifts and more. You won't go hungry either, try a hog roast, a German bratwurst sausage, or even some local crispy duck rotisseries and then warm yourself through with some hot mulled wine.
There is a 50 foot Christmas tree, beautifully decorated and shining bright with lights and Scotland’s largest ice rink. At George Square, there is a traditional carousel, a family favourite among all and then the quintessential big wheel. There are also plenty of street entertainers and musicians really making you feel like you’re walking in a Christmas wonderland.
The Christmas markets usually open from the second week in November to the 29th December on St Enoch Square from 9.00am to 10.00pm and George Square from 10.00am to 10.00pm. Children can meet Father Christmas and maybe get an early present from him, ride on some of the rides available and taste some of the many delicatessen foods on offer. Those without children can browse the array of stalls and then take a break in the handmade and very authentic German bars that serve traditional beers.

Parking on Cambridge St, G2
The location of the car park can be a bit confusing as it is next to the NCP car park and the entrance is at rear of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel. There were a few spaces when I arrived but not many disabled spaces. There are two floors, that I noticed, so there may have many more spaces available. The spaces are ok but are a bit narrow. There weren't any barriers on entry or exit so I presume that's there's a camera reading your vehicle registration plate. The location is good for city centre shopping or anything else that you would like to do. Overall it was value for money as you able to take your vehicle in and out of the car park as many times during your booked time slot.

Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre South, G5
Two crisp, clean white lines embracing a sensual 2 x 1.8m filling of dark grey tarmac. Nearby trees offer shade from the sun and the resident birds provide endless possibilities of entertainment when I leave my kids in the car unattended to go to the pub. 10/10 would recommend. It's like Disneyland, but for cars.

Parking on Elliot Street, G3
Easy to find, easy to use. Had to extend stay due to show over running and it didn’t cost extra. Would use again.
