Harrow is a substantial town that lies in the North West of Greater London, in the London Borough of Harrow. Harrow Civic Centre is a public building that lies on Station Road and is the headquarters of the London Borough of Harrow Council.
The original council offices resided on Peel Road in Wealdstone, after in 1934 the Harrow Urban District Council was established. It made its move to where it is stationed now, after Harrow became a London Borough in 1965 and a need for a larger and more permanent home was required. Production began in July 1970 and was formally opened in May 1973.
Within the Harrow Civic centre are meeting rooms, a members lounge, the Council chamber and a one stop as well as different facilities within the ground like the Civic Centre Library, the Citizens advice Bureau and the Housing Department. It offers an array of services from paying parking fines to school admissions and everything in between.
