Parking in Lichfield
Parking in Lichfield can be a hassle. The narrow historic city streets have plenty of charm but weren’t designed to cope with modern day traffic. On-street parking issues in the city centre are compounded by the proximity of the City Train Station. Lichfield train station parking is limited and commuters clog up the surrounding streets. This often leaves residents with nowhere to park, and businesses frustrated at the lack of customer parking.
If you’re visiting Lichfield, the Cathedral should definitely make the itinerary. Keep in mind, however, that there is no parking on The Close. If you’re struggling to find last-minute Lichfield cathedral parking, there’s no need to worry! YourParkingSpace is available 24 hours a day.
Parking Permits in Lichfield
A parking permit scheme is in place to alleviate the problem of parking scarcity for residents. A Lichfield parking permit can be obtained from the Staffordshire County Council.

A good parking space, close to the station (8 mins walk, not 6, I would say) and easy walk through the housing estate. Recommended.Debi
Easy parking, a lot of available spaces and very close to M6. Recommend. There are lots of roundabout in that area so better check the map before traveling.Narisha
Great. Affordable and easy to find.Christia
Massive carpark, easy to find and close to the station, but I wasn;t clear where to park and it was completely empty when I retrieved the car, so I was a little worried that it looked vulnerable. Overall good value and location.Tori
After a little initial confusion about how to pick up the pass things worked out really well. Used the space for a couple of weeks that I was commuting to London from Tamworth Railway Station. Car park is well lite, seems well covered by cameras, never saw anything to give me concerns regarding the safety of the car or myself. Recommended.Simon
Lots of space and car didn’t get nicked, so all is good!Chelsea
