Medieval Wall Walk:
Offering stunning city and countryside views, this great stone curtain wall is considered one of the most dramatic features of Lincoln Castle today.
Visitors can walk the full circumference of the wall, which is a third of a mile long. Along the way, you can discover towers and dungeons, and you can also enjoy stunning views of the Lincoln Cathedral. The highest point is the Observatory Tower. It is a bit of a hike up the tower, but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views once you reach the top.
History tells us that men, women and children as young as eight were held in this prison from 1848 to 1878. The prison has recently had an extensive refurbishment.

Getting to Lincoln Castle
Lincoln Central train station is located in the city centre, within a 10-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from Lincoln Castle. There is a taxi rank outside Lincoln train station. The ride to Lincoln Castle should take about 10 minute and cost roughly £4.50
Lincoln bus station is located in the city centre next to the train station. Bus numbers 7, 8, 17 and 18 run between the bus station and Lincoln Castle.
