Well... where to start... Upon arrival, all the spaces were taken, except one, which I assume is where I should have been able to park. However there were pallets on the floor with a duvet and carboard. I assume that some homeless people slept there. That parking space was actually open, which obviously is not good for safety, After trying to contact the customer service team unsuccessfully, I managed to speak to the parking attendant for the whole car park (not just these spaces but other ones), and we had a good chat. Apparently, Yourparking space had known about the rough sleeping issue and pallets for months, but no-one had done anything to sort it out. The car park attendant had refused to remove the pallets because of safety issues (they were disgusting and I also found syringes...). In the end, as I did not hear anything from Yourparknigspace and it would have been too expensive to find another parking space at the last minute, I decided to take matters in my own hands and moved the pallets. It was disguting as there were rat droppings everywhere and syringes. There were also no clear indication on how to close back the shutters properly, depending on if you park on the space on the right or the space on the left. I never heard anything from your parking space that day, and the general phone number I found was always busy. I only got a reply days after, asking me to confirm which days I was unable to park. Very bad experience with Yourparkingspace and I am deeply disappointed. This lack of communication during an emergency is very bad. Although they might have suggested to refund me, it is difficult to find cheap parking spaces in Edinburgh, and had I not taken matter into my own hands, I would have had to pay a LOT more in parking, which Yourparkingspace would not have covered. That experience showed me that they didn't care

Shocking experience. Spaces were already taken, even after an hour . 25 calls made to the number provided on the parking space, but no answer. Contacted space owner, but no response. Would never use this service again!

Good price and location. Code opened shutter to 2 spaces, both had cars in when I got there, luckily one car just leaving (and driver said they had it booked until that time?). Although it was around lunchtime and I’d booked the space from 9am? Contacted company to check we had the space for our full time slot and they said there were more spaces anyway, not sure if they were referring to the other 2 spaces behind a neighbouring shutter, but they had a duvet and other items that would have needed clearing, all of which smelt strongly of urine, although not sure our code would of opened that space anyway? Happy with our space (which was sometimes a choice of two if no other car was there), but not sure what would have happened if the other car wasn’t leaving as we turned up, especially due to response time of company replying, we would have ended up wasting a great deal of time waiting for a response or paying for parking elsewhere.

This parking space has easy access and is in a central location. Great price too! Would definitely use again.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Booked multiple days - twice turned up to find the space already filled. On the day we did get in its evidently slept in by homeless people as beside the parking spaces there are clothes, items and sleeping bags. It's evidently used at their toilet too. Maybe they need to think about changing the access codes and cleaning the place as the location is ideal but it is filthy.

Awful. If this space has one thing going for it then that’s it’s location. Very handy for the town centre and close to the Premier Inn on Rose Street where we were staying. That’s where the good news ends. When we arrived the shutter opened to reveal two spaces, one was occupied already but when I reversed straight back in to the second space in our Kia Sorento it didn’t fit as the car was too long. No warning at all about that in the description? By reversing very carefully, positioning the car at an angle and bringing the car so close on the drivers side that I had to climb out of the passenger door we managed to just lower the shutter. Having parked, a closer inspection of the garage revealed various debris and a sleeping bag suggesting that somebody was sleeping rough in the garage. The whole garage stank of rat wee and there was evidence of rat faeces all over the floor. I was nervous leaving the car but with the shutter down and secured I felt that it was as secure as I could hope for. Worryingly, I had occasion to return to the car three times while we were in Edinburgh and on two occasions I found the security grill in the raised position. The second time we found it open, as we were leaving, the vehicle parked next to us had changed and I’m pretty sure it had been left up deliberately as I don’t think the grill would have closed due to the size of that vehicle. This is when things turned really quite nasty. As we loaded our stuff in the car I noticed two people also in the garage, as I looked it became clear that they both were in the process of taking intravenous drugs. They had various drug taking paraphernalia as well as additional sleeping bags and blankets and were clearly settling down for a comatose afternoon. Something I think my 11 year old son and 8 year old daughter probably shouldn’t have to witness? AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID !!! Insecure, too small, smelly and a drug den. As parking places go I don’t think it could be worse.
