Parking in Tower Bridge
Information about Parking at Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge has a wealth of places to explore on its doorstep, from the famous Tower of London to the iconic Shard and City Hall. There are also fantastic art galleries, including Tate Modern, Southbank Centre and The Hayward Gallery. There are lots to choose from whether you’re looking for activities, shopping or dining options in Tower Bridge.
With a unique range of historic, creative, and picturesque sites, Tower Bridge has lots to offer. However, the parking landscape isn’t quite as welcoming. Car parks are often expensive, making it difficult for people to be able to travel by car into the area on a regular basis. And although there are a variety of short, medium and long-term spaces across the Tower Bridge, long-term pay and display is not available in very busy parts of Tower Bridge.
YourParkingSpace offers plenty of different off-street parking opportunities, including overnight parking close to the heart of Tower Bridge. You can even park for cheap moments from top attractions, including finding parking at the Ivy Tower Bridge and parking at the Hilton Tower Bridge.
Both long term and short-term parking is available with our hourly and weekly booking options. The best part is, YourParkingSpace is available 24 hours of the day 7 days a week. Download our free app so you can browse for spaces on the go!
No one wants a Tower Bridge parking ticket! On the YourParkingSpace map, we make sure that we only offer parking spaces with no restrictions so you need no permit and can rest assured you won’t get any fines.

Across the river, take a stroll through Bermondsey, where you will find the Fashion and Textile Museum, White Cube Bermondsey Gallery and the delights of the London Glassblowing showroom. A short walk away you will find London Bridge, with Borough market’s thriving centre and many lovely cafés and shops nestled under the covered market. These are all set against the impressive backdrop of the London skyline, with the Shard being a prominent feature of the area.

Disabled Parking
Did you know that a Blue Badge means that you can park in designated spaces close to popular facilities, often for a longer period of time?
If you’re planning your day out and looking for disabled parking at Tower Bridge, check out the Southwark Council website where there is a list of all disabled parking as well as proposed Blue Badge parking bays. The map also shows short-stay Blue Badge bays installed near shops, which usually have a maximum stay of 4 hours. If you’re visiting Tower Bridge attraction, there are five Blue Badge parking bays reserved at a nearby carpark.
Many off-street car parks in Tower Bridge will offer disabled spaces, but these may be limited so check the signs before parking.
Where you can use it
In general, you can use your badge for parking:
- on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours, unless there is a ban on loading or unloading
- at 'on-street' parking meters and pay-and-display machines for free and for as long as you need to
- in disabled parking bays. You can find out which car parks have disabled parking bays by checking the car parks information on the relevant council website.
Where you cannot use it
The Blue Badge is not a licence to park anywhere. If you park where it would cause an obstruction or danger to other road users you could be in for a Tower Bridge parking fine, or have your vehicle removed.
Particular places where you must not park include:
- where a ban on loading or unloading is in force
- where parking places are reserved for specific users such as resident’s bays or loading bays
- pedestrian crossings (zebra, pelican, toucan and puffin crossings), including areas marked by zig-zag lines
- clearways (no stopping)
- a bus stop clearway during its hours of operation
- an urban clearway within its hours of operation. You may only pick up or drop off passengers
- school 'keep clear' markings during the hours shown on a yellow no-stopping plate
- Bus, tram or cycle lanes or cycle tracks
- Where there are double white lines in the centre of the road (even if one of the lines is broken)
- Where temporary parking restrictions are in force, as shown by no-waiting cones or temporary signs.
Displaying your badge
Make sure the badge is facing upwards so that the details on the front can be clearly seen and it should be placed on the dashboard.
