Parking zones
Parking in Perth City is divided into three zones, each set by its own rules and restrictions. View the Perth car parking map of the zones and car parks. Charges apply 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday.
Zone 1 - Inner City Centre
Zone 1 encompasses all Council on and off-street parking between Mill Street, South Methven Street, Canal Street and Tay Street (up to the Queen's Bridge).
Zone 2 - City Centre
Zone 2 encompasses Tay Street (after the Queen's Bridge), Marshall Place, Caledonian Road, Barrossa Place and includes the Back Wynd Car Park in Bridgend.
Zone 3 - Outer City Centre
Zone 3 encompasses the South Inch Car Park and the on-street parking on Shore Road, Edinburgh Road, St Leonards Bank, the east bank of the Tay with the Norie-Miller and Riverside Turning Head car parks.
15 minutes of free parking
All 3 zones allow 15 minutes of free parking. This only applies to Council-run car parks and on-street parking spaces.
Park & Ride
There are 2 Park & Ride sites in the Perth area.
Broxden Park and Ride
Broxden Park & Ride is located just off the M90 on the outskirts of Perth. Stagecoach bus services 7A and 7B provide a link between Broxden and Perth City Centre. Parking is free and a day return bus ticket is £1.60.
Journeys run-up to every 20 minutes, Mondays to Saturdays and up to every 30 mins on Sundays.
Scone Park and Ride
Scone P&R is located just off Angus Rd in Scone, and suits travellers from Coupar Angus, Blairgowrie or Alyth.
Stagecoach services 7 and 7A provide a link into the city centre from Scone P&R. Parking is free, and departures into Perth City Centre are up to every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday and up to every 30 mins on Sundays.

Getting to Perth
By Bus: Perth can be reached by a network of coach services.
By Train: Perth train station is a short walk from the city centre, and serves regular trains to and from Stirling, Dundee and Pitlochry, with a journey time of around 30 minutes.
The journey from Edinburgh takes an hour and 25 minutes. A direct train from Glasgow runs hourly from Queen Street and takes around an hour.
Disabled Parking in Perth
Blue badge holders can park for free at numerous city centre streets and in most Council operated car parks.
In addition, Blue badge holders are permitted to:
- park in any Council controlled on or off-street parking bay free of charge
- park at other on-street locations subject to the normal conditions of use of their badges
Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicle charging stations are available at several locations in the Perth area. A network of all electric vehicle charging points in the UK can be found on the government's Go Ultra low website.
Overnight, Weekends & Bank Holidays
All on-street Pay and Display and Council operated charging car parks are free of charge on Sunday along with 1 and 2 January and 25 and 26 December. Charges apply on all other Bank and Local holidays.
You can also park free of charge at Council operated carparks after 6pm.

Yes, 7 minutes from the station. Someone told me you can park at the station hotel car park, and there were in fact spaces at the station itself, but I didn’t want to risk it. Not a bad price, and you can shop in Morrisons! Which I wouldn’t do normally.
