Malmaison Reading resides in Reading, a large, ancient market town in the Berkshire county in the South East region. It is fittingly positioned right beside Reading train station and in close proximity to the town centre. Malmaison Reading previously known as the Great Western Hotel is a grade two listed building and was built in 1844 and is known to be the eldest remaining train station hotel in the entire world and was purchased by the Malmaison brand in 2007.
The original hotel was thought to be designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Great Western Railways Chief Engineer and was built for people to stay who visited the town, from the train on the Great Western Main Line that ran from London to Bristol, passing through Reading. It was used as a hotel until the 1960s and was being used as offices until Malmaison took it over and reopened in 2007.
Malmaison manages 15 hotels within the UK and was founded in 1994 and the Frasers Property are the current owners. Malmaison Reading’s interior preserves the elegance and indulgence of train travel in the golden age. It prides itself on lavish interior decoration, top notch design and the greatest luxury. Malmaison Reading has 75 suites and rooms of varying size and style. Alongside sleeping in comfort, the hotel provides some most excellent and exquisitely exhibited event spaces and meeting rooms.

Latest Malmaison Reading parking reviews
Two tries to actually find the spaces. You have to drive into Livery close and go right to the end of the close to find Belbury. Sign is quite small. However, very convenient at a good price.Susan
City center location, access using fob, secure and easy communication with owner for fob collection and return. The entry to the parking spot is a bit narrow due to an oddly placed pillar. Fine for a medium car, but will be difficult for a big carSouvik
Very easy to find, perfect spaces in a pretty good location for a short walk to the centre of Reading, although a pity there isn't a direct cut through (you have to walk back out of Livery Close) Worth using street view first so you have a picture in your mind before arrival. Will use again if I have the need to working in Reading Town centre in the further.Graeme
Great value for Reading town centre and secure, Very helpful owner. Space was a tight squeeze to get into (between a wall and a column, but I realised afterwards it would have been easier had I approached it from the other end. Will use again.Paul
So easy to book it was only 4 minutes walk from where I was going. Will use it again when I’m back in Reading. Thank yiuKeith
Very close to Oracle. Good price. Straightforward to find as long as the instructions are followed. Will definitely use again if I’m in the area.Deven
The carpark is easy to find and the instructions are very clear. And the location is very close to train station and town centre. Nice spot!Kwok Ching
Easy to find, convenient for the train, totally worth itLuke
Great location, owner messaged me straight away with notes on how to find the parking spot and we found it straight away. Only problem we had was the spaces are a little tight so if had a big car would be tight. Would definitely recommend/use again if in area. Thanks.Luke
