Parking in Leeds City centre is divided into zones. Each zone has different restrictions and charges, check local signage to make sure you aren’t missing restrictions. Parking restrictions to look out for are:

Leeds Railway Station is located on New Station Street. The station is the terminus of the Leeds branch of the East Coast Main Line, and London North Eastern Railway provides high-speed inter-city services to London every half hour from the station. It also connects to major cities on the Cross Country including Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Derby, Nottingham, Reading, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth and Penzance.

Leeds has a few off-street parking locations that offer 24 hour parking. Check out Hunslet Lane, an open-air car park, three minutes’ walk from Leeds Bridge. It is located on Hunslet Lane, LS10 1ES, is open 24 hours a day for 7 days of the week, offers 35 spaces and blue badge availability.
Alternatively, you could try Woodhouse Lane. It’s a multi-storey Leeds car park, a short walking distance from the city centre and other main attractions such as the arena and Leeds City Museum. It is located at Woodhouse Lane, LS2 3AX. It’s open 24 hours for 7 days a week, has 14 blue badge parking spaces and electric charging points available, and is competitively priced.

When is parking free in Leeds?
It’s almost impossible to find free parking in Leeds unless you have a residents’ permit or are visiting on a Bank Holiday. Even on Bank Holidays, most Leeds car parks charge a fee. The cheapest car parks are Whitehall Road and Leeds International Pool. How much is parking in Leeds on a Sunday?
There is very little free parking in the city centre even on a Sunday unless you are a valid Blue Badge holder and require disabled bays. There are different zones in the city which have varied tariffs depending on the hours. Sunday tariffs are cheaper than other days of the week and there is a limited amount of free parking at South Central and South Outer zones.
How much is meter parking in Leeds?
Meter parking varies depending on the parking zones and the time. You can expect to pay £1.50 minimum / 2hrs during the week and about £1/2hrs on Saturdays. Meter parking is available for 1,2,3 or 5 hour slots. Weekend parking is cheaper than during the week, and there is a small amount of free parking at South Central and South Outer zones on Sundays. Be careful, most zones charge for parking even on Bank Holidays.
How to get a parking permit in Leeds?
There is no charge for resident permits in Leeds. In order to apply, you will need to provide documents showing proof of address (for example mortgage statements or utility bills) and these need to have been issued within the last three months. You also need to provide a copy of either the vehicle log book (V5C) or the vehicle insurance document. You need to renew your permit every three years.
