  • Parking on Lovers Lane, NG24

Be prepared by having the app downloaded to your phone first if you’re staying for more than 24 hrs. I couldn’t book by phone for more than 24hrs as the option didn’t work, infuriatingly. After several attempts I tried the online page which didn’t fit onto my phone screen so I couldn’t select dates. There wasn’t a strong enough signal to download the app from the car park so I had to put £2 in the machine to tide me over- lucky I had some change. Finally got to an area with a 4g signal, downloaded the app & managed to book, although the app could be a little simpler. It all took over half an hour & a lot of anxiety so beware if you’re trying to catch a train. In the end it was all booked alright. Phew. I couldn’t see any lights for night lighting the car park so maybe street lighting is sufficient.

  • Parking on Kewswick Street, NG2

Super, very easy to find and only a five minute walk to Arena. Bonus is you can get away easily at end of night. Will use again

  • Parking on Premier Apartments, Ice House, Belward Street, NG1

This is a great find. Literally behind SaltBox and next to the Motorpoint Arena, so really central to the bars & restaurants. The car is left in a car park behind locked gates, so very safe. Glad I had instructions as it's easy to miss the entrance, even though you can see the apartment block. I just called reception for the code & bay number. Would definitely use again
