YourParkingSpace.co.uk and hiyacar have announced a partnership, combining the UK's fastest growing technology provider and the UK's longest-trading peer-to-peer car sharing platform.
The agreement sees YPS and hiyacar improve the service available to customers, with YourParkingSpace.co.uk space owners able to offer their car to hiyacar's more than 120,000 members when it is not being used, monetising it.
Equally, hiyacar's customers will be directed to YourParkingSpace.co.uk if they require parking during the course of their car rental, enabling them to save money on parking.
As well as cost savings, the partnership highlights the money-making opportunities available in the sharing economy. For example, YourParkingSpace.co.uk customers made £12 million in 2020 by renting out their driveways for motorists needing somewhere to park. Meanwhile, hiyacar customers can often make an average of £400 a month, with some owners earning in excess of £800 a month in high demand areas.
