Newham University Hospital is an acute general hospital stationed in Plaistow, in the London Borough of Newham, in the heart of East London. It is managed by Barts Health NHS Trust. The hospital is known to serve one of the UKs youngest, quickest rising and highly varied population and provides frequent services in up to 40 different languages. The Hospital that was opened in December 1983 by the Queen replaced two hospitals in the East End and East Ham areas and was then called Newham General Hospital.
Newham Hospital delivers all the essential services that local hospitals are required to give, with a 24 hour Accident and Emergency Department (A&E), a modern Urgent Care Centre, children and women’s health services, surgery, specialist medicine and long term care of the elderly and a maternity unit. The amenities offered in the UK’s biggest maternity unit are of top quality and provide a contemporary and lively atmosphere for expecting mothers. Within the maternity services are 24 hour assessments, inpatient antenatal care and labour induction. As many as 6,500 births occur in the unit every year. The hospital also boasts its own local devoted stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) centre, alongside clinical assistance services.
British-Jamaican writer Benjamin Zephaniah included Newham University Hospital in his 1999 book ‘Face’.

Parking on Ibis Styles, Dockside, E16
Safe parking. Good location next to the DLR station and the Excel exhibition center. The parking is actually managed by the contiguous Ibis Hotel. Just a bit acrobatic at the barrier when alone in the car and left side sterring Wheel.
