  • Parking on Simpson Loan, EH3

Very central, easy to access secure. The actual park doesn’t have great signage for exiting it but you get there. Ditto what others have said, have your barcode up on your phone before descending into the abyss as zero signal.

Would be a five star if locating and signage had been clearer. Luckily I’m from Edinburgh so when the app ‘directions’ sent me on a wild goose chase, I knew to ignore them. It’s not the easiest location to reach first time, due to long term building site, one way route, dead end; just head for Chalmers Street and turn 2nd right (after the nhs car park for Lauriston Buildings) straight onto Simpson Loan. Signage within the car park is limited. Once you have your bearings for pedestrian exit/entry, this is a great location. Payment using the barcode was simple once I found the pay machine. And a good saving - £3.60 instead of £8.60! Definitely recommend and will use again.

Entry instructions clear, car park a bit of a labyrinth, but well lit and secure feeling. Ideal for Edinburgh Playhouse.

Very convenient spot for the Omni Centre, Edinburgh Playhouse and the new St James shopping centre. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Not cheap for parking but nowhere near the centre of Edinburgh is these days.

Clean and secure. Mixed messages about how to enter and exit and had to use intercom to have ticket validated.
