Ford launches performance-focused Mustang Mach-E GT

All-electric SUV gets the full Mustang treatment with greater power and performance figures

Ford's already popualr Mustang Mach-E is now available in GT specification, with the performance model now the company's fastest accelerating five-seater model ever sold in Europe.

Fitted with dual motors for all-wheel drive, the Mustang Mach-E GT produces 487 hp (358 kW) and 860 Nm of torquem good for a 3.7 second time over the traditional 0-62mph sprint.

Ford has also fitted MagneRide adaptice suspension and high-performance Brembo brakes to ensure the Mustang Mach-E GT isn't just fast in a straight line.

Fitted with an 88 kWh battery, the electric Ford will cover 310 miles on a charge, and can be topped-up to 80% in 45 minutes on an ultra-rapid 150 kW DC charge point - 60 miles can be added in only 10 minutes.

Prices for the limited first batch of models to arrive in the UK start from £67,225, with deliveries expected to begin later this year. Order books are open now.
