Jaguar's EV gets two trim levels added to the top of the ladder - I-Pace Black and I-Pace HSE Black

Jaguar has added new high specification Black trim options to the I-Pace line-up, boosting equipment for the all-electric SUV.

The I-Pace Black edition gets sporty styling details, black gloss finishes on mirrors and the grille, and 20-inch alloys.

Standard kit includes LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, heated sports seats and steering wheel, keyless entry and start, 10-inch infotainment screen, digital dashboard, smartphone connectivity, and 360-degree camera.

There’s also a range-topping I-Pace HSE Black edition which adds matrix LED headlights, a powered tailgate, driver assistance package,  and adaptive cruise control.

The powertrain remains the same no matter the model picked, which sees a 90 kWh battery drive a motor on each axle. Almost 400hp allows for a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds, though range is reduced to 280 miles on a charge because of the larger 20-inch alloys.

Ultra-rapid DC charging at up to 100 kW is still fitted, adding almost 80 miles of range in quarter of an hour, whilst charging at up to 11 kW is possible on AC charge points.

Prices start at £72,445 for the I-Pace Black, and £76,695 for the I-Pace HSE Black.
