Jaguar has released a revised E-Pace range with a new engine line-up and improved interior. Now sitting on a new platform, the E-Pace offers buyers the choice of plug-in hybrid, and mild hybrid petrol or diesel powertrains.
Sharing the same architecture as the Range Rover Evoque, the Jaguar E-Pace gains a plug-in hybrid option for the first time. The Jaguar E-Pace P300e PHEV has an electric only range of up to 34 miles on a charge, and efficiency scores of 141 mpg and 44 g/km CO2.
Powered by a combination of 1.5 litre petrol engine and 80 kW electric motor, the E-Pace P300e produces 200 hp and features all-wheel drive. Performance figures are covered by a 6.5 seconds 0-62 mph time, and a top speed of 134 mph.
Charging can be carried out at up to 7 kW from AC charge points, the E-Pace PHEV can, like other recently launched Land Rover and Jaguar plug-in hybrids, also charge at up to 32 kW on DC points for a top-up in half an hour.
The newly available mild hybrid options make up much of the rest of the range, with 163 hp and 204 hp diesel options and 200 hp, 249 hp, and 300 hp petrol variants. These mild hybrids, as well as the PHEV model, mean all but one of the seven powertrains on offer are electrified.
The E-Pace benefits from Jaguar’s recently introduced cabin upgrades, which include a curved-glass touchscreen Pivo Pro infotainment system, new drive selector, and revised lay-out. The E-Pace also includes a new digital instrument cluster for the driver, and air filtration technology to remove allergens and odours.
Prices for the new Jaguar E-Pace range start from £32,575, though the PHEV E-Pace P300e starts from £45,995. Orders can be placed now.
