Popular all-electric model features tweaked styling and improved equipment options

Nissan has unveiled the latest version of its best-selling Leaf, with the electric hatchback given a mid-life update for 2022.

Now featuring Nissan's new logo, a modified front end to fit in with the latest models from Nissan, a boost in equipment levels, and a range of new paint options, the updated Leaf arrives as the Japanese firm's next-generation EV - the Ariya - is due to make an entrance in Europe.

More than 577,000 Nissan Leafs have been sold worldwide, and the latest version now has new 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels available to customers. Five monotone and five two-tone colour options have been joined by two new picks, with Pearl Blue and Magnetic Blue now available.

Remote connection via the NissanConnect Services app for certain trim levels allows the driver to access charging information, timing, and pre-conditioning settings. Users can also integrate the sytesm and use it through Amazon Alexa home devices.

The Leaf kicks off a fresh push from Nissan for electric vehicles, with 15 new pure-EVs due by 2030.

The updated Leaf is available in both 40 kWh and Leaf e+ 62 kWh specifications, with a range of up to 239 miles available in the latter.

Prices start at £26,995 (inc. PiCG) with order books opening on 1st March, and delveries expected in April.
