Special Destinations

There are lots of wonderful places to visit around the UK outside of London. One of our favourites is Bath. Known as one of the prettiest cities in the south of England, this historic city of Bath has beautiful Georgian architecture and Roman baths dating back to AD43. This is a must-see city for any fans of Jane Austen. As the hometown of the famous author, visitors can take a trip to the Jane Austen centre or even take a Jane Austen tour.

Much further north, Edinburgh is a great destination for a romantic city break. If the weather is fine, take a hike up to Arthur’s Seat to enjoy the wonderful views while having a picnic. There are many quaint historic pubs in the cobbled streets of the city – perfect for relaxing together in the evening.

For the more adventurous couples, pack your hiking boots and head to Cader Idris in Snowdonia. At just under 1000m, Cader Idris is the highest mountain in southern Snowdonia. It is a popular peak with hikers, due to the stunning scenery and crystal clear lakes. With over 100 campsites nearby, you can stay overnight and spend a romantic night sleeping under the stars.
