    Very difficult to pay. Customer Service were not helpful until they realised that their system could impact payment to themselves then they took an interest in helping to resolve our issue this after they threatened legal action for non payment

    I was staying at the Holiday Inn so this was the parking available. It was busy but I found a space, the car park was clean and felt secure. Spaces were a good width. However, I found the payment very confusing as there were so many options for making the payment - a QR code inside the hotel, a card machine outside, an app/website you could use. A member of the hotel staff saw my confusion and was kind enough to help me with the machine outside as I had initially just checked in and was leaving again after about half an hour. The machine said I had been there since 12.00 (I arrived at 1.50) and wanted me to pay £6. For half an hour. The member of staff said not to bother paying at that time as it would all correct itself when I left the next morning (so I am not sure why he had offered to show me the machine but that we will never know!). So I did not pay that time but I was worried all night that I would get some kind of fine. Anyway, when I did come to leave the next morning, I used the QR code option instead and was charged £12 (which, despite being expensive, was what the hotel employee had told me would happen) and I was able to just enter my original arrival time and it calculated that way. I think there should one big sign telling you all the different ways of paying rather than small ones with just one option on, showing the charges, whether the first half hour is free, with more detail on how to use each option. For example, the QR code sign just says ‘scan here to pay for parking’ and it would be more help if there was some more detail at that stage. I had help but I still found it all very confusing and stressful. It would have been so much more straightforward if the hotel had been in charge of the parking or if I could have bought a parking ticket at check-in for the length of my stay. I’d use the car park again if I used the hotel again but not otherwise.

    The app changed my leaving time. No costumer service to speak to, so I had the need to pay twice and spending extra money. Rubbish system
