  • Reliable, regular shuttle buses run like clockwork
  • CCTV, perimeter fencing and barriers, plus your car isn't moved off-site
  • Perfect for standard-size cars – check below for more info

Parking made simple. Drop off your car and keys, and the shuttle bus will whisk you to the terminal for a quick getaway. With top-notch security, a premium heated and air-conditioned reception area, and a friendly team on hand 24/7, you'll be on your way in no time.

Need to know

When you arrive at the car park follow the signs for arrivals and drive through the car photo booth.

Park in one of the arrivals lanes and head to reception to check in and hand over your keys – they'll move your car to the secured area of the car park.

Skip the weather and wait in the comfort of reception until your shuttle is ready – it won't be long. Buses run every 20 minutes from 4am to 11.40pm and take between 12 and 30 minutes depending on your terminal. Outside of these times, you can take a taxi to and from the airport.

When you get back, just hop on the bus back to Purple Parking, collect your keys and you're off.

The postcode for satnavs and a link for what3words will be in your booking confirmation to make your journey easier.

The car park does have some size restrictions and it's important your car fits – check below for more info.

Accessibility

The car park and shuttle buses are accessible for customers with limited mobility.

Use a mobility vehicle? Let reception know as soon as you arrive.

The small print

London's Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) includes all terminals at Heathrow Airport. If your vehicle doesn't meet ULEZ standards, you'll need to pay the daily ULEZ charge when driving through Heathrow – make sure you check before you travel.

Larger or commercial vehicle? The car park has changed its terms and conditions meaning that some larger vehicles are no longer accepted. If your vehicle is one they won't accept you'll be charged an additional £25 per day when you arrive. Please read below for full details and check whether the car park will accept your vehicle before you book.

Purple Parking Park and Ride cannot accept:

  • Commercial vehicles or mini buses of any variant.
  • Single or double cab pickup trucks such as Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux or Nissan Navara.
  • Medium panelled or windowed vans such as a VW Transporter, VW Caravelle, VW Caddy, Ford Transit, Mercedes Vito, Mercedes Viano or short wheel based vehicles of any description.

The car park will move your car to a self-park area and charge an additional £25 per day in any of the following cases:

  • Not providing a key to your vehicle.

  • Not removing steering wheel locks.

If you have an electric car, make sure it has enough battery charge to be moved through the car parks and last the duration of the stay. Otherwise, the car park may charge you a fee.

Returning to a different terminal? Don't worry this car park runs shuttles to terminals 2, 3 and 5. On your way to the airport ask your bus driver where to go on your return.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up to midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £25 per day. This is subject to seasonal change and you'll need to pay by card. The car park cannot offer refunds if you return early.

If you don't arrive by midnight on your booked arrival date, your booking will be cancelled and the car park will charge you £25 for the booking to be reinstated. If you're planning on returning early try and give the car park as much notice as possible so they can have your car ready for you.

Staff are at the car park 24/7, so if you arrive between 1am and 4am your car can be released.
