One of the oldest theatres in Britain, Bath’s Theatre Royal was built in 1805 and was fully renovated in 2010. Its Main House showcases a programme of varied plays and performances, including several West End productions; legendary thespian Simon Callow once called it his favourite theatre of all. The Theatre Royal is also home to ‘the egg’, a designated children’s theatre which puts on regular productions for the very youngest theatregoers.
