The Malvern Hills are a stretch of hills in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and a small portion of north Gloucestershire. They are managed by the Malvern Hills Trust. Staggeringly, the Malvern Hills formed some of England’s most ancient igneous and metamorphic rocks which are some 680 million years old.

They were allocated as a biological and geological site of special scientific interest, as well as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a National Character Area by Natural England.

Spring water is what the hills are foremost known for, made famous by holy wells and then through expansion of Great Malvern, a spa town in the 19th century which concluded with the manufacturing of modern bottled drinking water.

By Train:

The closest train stations to the Malvern Hills is Great Malvern train station (WR14 3AL) and Malvern Link (WR14 1SW). Run by Great Western Railway.

Both train stations have direct trains to the likes of London Paddington, Birmingham New Street, Bristol, Southampton Central and Hereford.

By Car:

The town of Malvern is on the A449 trunk route from Worcester to Ross on Wye.

From the North on the M5 motorway and exit at Junction 7 and follow the signs to Malvern. From the South on the M5 exit at Junction 8 onto the M50 motorway and then take Junction 1 and follow signs to the Malvern.

From London, use the M4 motorway onto the A417 through to the Malvern’s.
