Pembury hospital, otherwise known as Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, is a large general hospital. The revamped hospital opened in 2011 and is located on the site of the former Pembury Hospital north-west. When it was built it became the first acute NHS hospital in the country to provide every inpatient with a private room with en-suite facilities. Rooms boast floor to ceiling windows and take in views over the surrounding woodland.
The hospital is located in the tranquil village of Pembury, Kent, in the south east of England. Pembury lies just to the north-east of Royal Tunbridge Wells and is a lovely little village centred around the village green. The village maintains its rural character and incorporates large areas of woodland, agricultural and farm land. There are historic buildings from the 1200s and in January 2010, archaeologists even found the remains of an Iron Age settlement.
