Parking in Newmarket city requires a little advance planning to ensure a hassle free experience.
There are six car parks available for Newmarket parking.
Three of these are long stay car parks. All of the long stay car parks in Newmarket have some designated disabled parking bays available. The three long stay car parks are:
- All Saints car park (162 spaces)
- Grosvenor Yard car park (76 spaces)
- St Mary’s car park (40 spaces)
Charges apply in the long stay car parks from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Saturdays, 11am to 4pm on Sundays, and 10am to 4pm on Bank Holidays. Parking fees range from 60p for 2 hours, up to £2.50 for an all day ticket. Blue Badge holders pay just 60p for up to 4 hours parking or £1 for all day between 9am and 4pm. Parking after 4pm is free every day for all drivers.
There are two short stay car parks; Market Square and Rous Road. Charges apply in the short stay car parks from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Saturdays, 11am to 4pm on Sundays, and 10am to 4pm on Bank Holidays.
Market Square car park has 58 spaces available, including disabled parking bays. The maximum parking stay is 3 hours for standard parking bays and 4 hours for Blue Badge holders. Charges are 60p for 2 hours and £1 for 3 hours. Blue Badge holders pay 60p for 4 hours. After 4pm parking in Market Square car park is free for all drivers every day.
Rous Road car park has 197 spaces available, including disabled parking bays. The maximum parking stay is 4 hours for all drivers. Charges are 60p for 2 hours, £1 for 3 hours, and £2 for 4 hours. Blue Badge holders pay 60p for 4 hours. After 4pm parking in Rous Road car park is free for all drivers every day.
Guineas multi storey car park is another Newmarket parking option. Levels 1 and 3 are short stay car parks, and Levels 4 and 5 are long stay car parks. Level 2 is for Premier Inn customers only. There are 400 spaces available overall, with 20 disabled spaces. Charges apply from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Saturdays, 11am to 4pm on Sundays, and 10am to 4pm on Bank Holidays. For up to 2 hours parking, it will cost 60p, and for up to 3 hours parking, it will cost £1. Parking on Levels 4 and 5 between 9am and 4pm costs only £2.50. Parking on all levels, except Level 2, is free for all drivers after 4pm every day. Blue Badge holders pay 60p for up to 4 hours parking or £1 for all day parking between 9am and 4pm. Motorcycle parking is free when parked in motorcycle bays, but standard parking charges apply if you park your motorcycle in a space for a car. Parking is free for all drivers after 4pm every day. Overnight parking is permitted, but the car park is locked from 7pm every night and cars will not be accessible until 6:30am the following day.
