It is the home to Shrewsbury Town FC, sometimes nicknamed Salop, a word taken from the Latin inscription on Shrewsbury’s county banner, Loreat Salopia, which means let Salop flourish. The name Salop comes from the Norman name for Shrewsbury, which was Salopesberia.

Great location , only comment would be not very clearly signed that parking is acceptable for Your Parking customers. There are warning signs everywhere about overacting 90 minutes which coupled non clear signage made it unnecessary stressful.

Very handy for the football. Not sure how this is policed. We just got there and parked up, so guess it must be vehicle registration recognition. Recommend parking here for the football.
