Swansea City moved into the Liberty Stadium in 2005, having spent the previous 93 years at Vetch Field. The club were founded as Swansea Town in 1912 but changed their name in 1969 to Swansea City, to reflect Swansea becoming a city. They were the first Welsh team to play in the Premier League and also the first Welsh team to win the Capital One Cup. This made them the first non-English team to win a major cup since Cardiff City won the FA Cup in 1927.
Swansea Railway Station, providing services to London Paddington, is the nearest station to the ground and is located roughly 2 miles from the Liberty Stadium. Due to the distance, it can take over half an hour to walk. Car parking at the stadium is for permit card holders only and resident only parking is in operation in the immediate vicinity. There is a park and ride facility located some distance from the stadium. To guarantee your parking space, the easiest and cheapest method is to pre-book a parking space near the stadium.
There is a Harvester and Frankie & Benny’s located near the ground that are good, family friendly venues for pre-match food or drinks. Otherwise, it is best to head into the city centre. There are also a number of exciting attractions in the centre including Swansea Museum, The National Waterfront Museum, and the birthplace of Dylan Thomas.

Perfect parking space. Easy to find, off the road, car felt safe. We used it to park for Bristol 10k. Great location within easy walking distance to the event start in Milenium Square. Would definitely use againBeth
All good no problems just be aware that there are two entrances to the car park and the one you use to enter (the rear)) may be locked when you go to leave, so you can use the front of the car park which you may not notice when you originally park via the rear.Richard
Fairly easy to find. Good location on Bristol. Would recommend it.Sarah
Easy to book. Excellent location for Ashton Gate Stadium. Only 10 minute walk away. Would certainly use again.Richard
Easy to find and access. Less than 15 mins walk to the BRIJeanette
Well priced when I took it out, price has gone up but I still never found another car park as well located for anywhere near the price. I work near Temple Meads so this is an ideal walk and avoids a lot of the traffic around Temple Way and Old Market. The only real issue with the location is that in winter time the rail tunnel is poorly lit and a lot of Gas Lane has no pavement. The only reason i'm not giving this five stars is that sometimes there weren't any spaces available or you can get blocked in. Apparently this is due to staff working for the bus company that own the car park also using it.Andrew
