York is a cathedral city that lies in the county of North Yorkshire in England. The city which lies at the coming together of the rivers Ouse and Foss, is famed for its historical landmarks like the city walls and York Minster. It is a top tourist destination within England.
The city was established in 71AD by the Romans and it was then known as Eboracum. During the middle ages York was a key wool trading base.
Full of a Viking history and Roman origins, the prehistoric walls which encompass the modern day independent retailers and lively restaurants play in contrast with the medieval structures dating back to the 1300s.
York is ideally placed at the midway point between London and Edinburgh and has the spectacular North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales a stone's throw away. It is a city like no other and includes a whopping 30 museums, the third largest racecourse in the UK, and an array of history waiting to be explored. York was voted in 2018 by the Sunday Times the ‘best place to live’ in Britain with its blend of new and old.

It was a wonderful parking space with smooth asphalt and neat white lines and against a luscious hedge. It’s hard to describe how much it made my day. It’s tribute to Your Parking Space and Morrisons. Surely a relationship made in Heaven…

Parking on Monkbar Mews (Pre book)
This is satisfactory. Only problem is I missed the turn in first time. It’s a. very tight left turn. Had to go all round but finally got in. No issues once there. Nice and open for female drivers on a main road that’s very busy so would feel safe on an evening.
