Falkirk stadium has been home to Falkirk Football Club since 2004, when they moved from The Brockville Ground. The club has a lengthy history, joining the Scottish Football League since 1902 and hold the record for winning the Scottish second tier title seven times. Their nickname is The Bairns, taken from the Scots word for sons or daughters and often used to designate the natives of Falkirk.
The main car park is reserved for permit holders only, which means it is often much simpler and cheaper to pre-book a guaranteed space in the surrounding vicinity. The nearest station to the ground, Falkirk Grahamston, is roughly a 35-minute walk from Falkirk Stadium and is located on the Edinburgh to Dunblane line.
In the local vicinity there are a number of attractions to make the most of your visit to the area. The Kelpies are 30-metre-high sculptures a short walk from the stadium. You can also visit the Antonine Roman Wall, dating back to AD 142, and Callendar Park, which is a scenic location for a walk. Pubs and restaurants in the area also include the Mill Inn, five minutes from the stadium, while there is a wide choice of restaurants and bars located in the town centre, near Falkirk Grahamston station.
