Kassam Stadium, named after its owner Firoz Kassam, is the home of Oxford United FC and was opened in 2001. The club, originally founded in 1893, have had a tumultuous history and were the first team to have won a major trophy, The Capital One Cup, and be relegated from the football league.
The ground regularly sees over 5,000 visitors fill the stands, and as a result the ground car park can fill quite quickly. Therefore, it is much easier to pre-book your parking space near the Kassam Stadium. This will guarantee a space that can reduce journey time and parking expenditure. Oxford railway station is over four miles from the stadium and it is not advisable to walk.
Though there is a somewhat limited choice of pubs and restaurants near the Kassam Stadium, the city centre has a great range of pubs, bars restaurants and other attractions, including The Eagle and Child, a pub that J.R.R Tolkein and C.S. Lewis visited regularly. The Museum of the History of Science is a fascinating visit as is the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.

Easy to park plenty of spaceClaire
Parking space easy to find. It's a 20-25 minute walk to the Kassam Stadium which would be difficult to do without Google Maps. Space is a good size but parking is free on the road (and on many roads on walk to the stadium) which perhaps explains why it's so cheap.Michael
