Someries Castle, actually a fortified manor, remained unfinished by Sir John Wenlock after his death in 1430 at the Battle of Tewkesbury. It was partially demolished in the 18th century but its walls remain largely intact, and of course the spectre of Sir John is reputed to lurk about the place, letting out fairly understandable ghostly howls about the state of his house.
