Riverside Stadium, located in Middlesbrough, has been the home of Middlesbrough FC since it was opened in 1995. The club are nicknamed The Boro or The Smoggies, a name derived from the smog created due to the city’s industrial history. They were one of the founding members of the Premier League and won the FA Cup in 1997.
Middlesbrough railway station is located roughly 20 minutes from the Riverside Stadium. It provides services from the North West. Due to average attendances being in excess of 16,000 people, and the limited amount of parking near the ground it can be time consuming to find a suitable space.
