Local Attractions
It’s easy to see why St Ives is such a popular destination. There are plenty of attractions to choose from - so many you’ll need a few days to really explore them all.
Seal Island is a quick boat trip out from the Lifeboat slipway, and as the name suggests it’s a great way to see some of the Atlantic seals basking in the sunshine. These seals can sometimes be spotted on the island while walking along the coast path.

A newer attraction can be found at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. Located near Penzance, you may need a vehicle to drive here but it is worth the visit. Public Transport
By Train:
The St Ives railway station services the GWR line and is located close to the centre of the town. If you are travelling from Paddington station in London the journey will take around 6 hours.
You can catch the train from Lelant Saltings station into St Ives and enjoy the stunning views on the way. Lelant Saltings station car park is open 24 hours and has 130 spaces available. It costs £2.80 to park here all day.
By Bus:
Long-distance buses are available, and the St Ives’ bus station can be found at the Malakoff.
By Car:
If you are driving into St Ives and not taking advantage of the park and ride options, you will need to following the M5 until you join the A30. You will pass through Lelant on St Ives Road, which you can follow into the town.
By Plane:
The closest airport is located in Newquay which is around a 50-minute drive to St Ives.

What a wonderful location, with plenty of space ensures your car is kept 100% safe and secure. With a nearby bus and bus station and train station for St Ives. I picked this location to park to avoid all the stress, and frustration of st Ives traffic and very narrow street. Perfect stay in St Ives with a total relaxing experiance, plus the amazing helpful and owners were always easy to contact and very informative. Would certainly be using her again, thankyou!!
