Gigg Lane Stadium, previously referred to as the JD Stadium, is located in Bury and was built in 1885. Since this year, it has been the home of Bury Football Club. They have been reffered as the shakers since 1882 when their manager, J T Ingham, claimed, in response to a question about their ability to beat bigger teams, that his team “shall shake 'em. In fact, we are the Shakers.” The name has stuck ever since and has seen them win two FA Cup titles and claim the record for most goals scored in an FA Cup final, 6.
Much of the area surrounding Gigg Lane Stadium is reserved for residential parking, so it is generally much more convenient and cheaper to pre-book your parking space. It is also important to note that Gigg Lane is often closed on match days. While there are no train stations located in Bury, there is a Metrolink station receiving services from Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria Stations.
The supporters club located at the ground is a popular location for drinks and food, and there are a number of pubs and restaurants close to Gigg Lane for pre and post-match dinners, including The Thwaites Pub and the Staff of Life. Alternatively, the world famous Bury Market is worth a visit and has a host of food to try and buy.

Booked to attend a football game at Walsall FC - parking is easy to find off a main road and a 10 minute walk from the ground. Made it easy to get away without getting caught in traffic on the retail park. Thanks very much

Excellent parking for Etihad stadium. easy to find and only about 15 min walk to stadium used two or three times now

Parking on Rochdale Rd, M4
Parking space was fine. Only issue is locating the place. Post code on satnav tries to take you to the road behind the car park. Not helped by some side roads being closed for various building works. 25 Rochdale road is best input for satnav. Can only be accessed when approaching from left. And opening is quite small. Best view on Google’s street view before leaving home.

The parking space was in a good location not visible from the road. The owner was very helpful and friendly and provided me with a security fob for the security gates. However the security gates did not work and the owners of the flat complex did not appear to be any hurry to fix them. They never worked during my renting the space. I would recommend the space.

Parking on St Luke's Rd, CV6
Liaised with owner prior to arrival. Found it all ok. Nice big drive although parked car close to wall so to make room for other cars on drive. A 12 minute straight forward walk to the Rioch Arena which was ideal. Left my lights on and the owner was kind enough to text me to let me know. Would use again should we visit the Arena
