Gosport Ferry lies in the town in Hampshire on the South Coast and is a ferry service, which has been connecting Gosport and Portsmouth since 1875. From 1840 to 1959, a steam operated chain ferry was in service. It is presently managed by Gosport Ferry Limited, who are a branch of the Portsmouth Harbour Ferry Company Limited, they began in 1883. By Train:

Gosport now longer has a train station, the closest now being in Portsmouth, situated next door to the ferry terminal. Crossings take 4 minutes over the Solent and then it is less than one minute walk to Portsmouth Harbour train station.

Portsmouth Harbour has trains into London Waterloo, London Victoria, Brighton and Bristol Parkway.

By Bus:
